About this artwork

The title of my painting "Mutabor" originates from the Latin, signifying "I shall change". This term opens a gateway to a realm of transformation and the multifaceted nature of identity, themes that are fundamental to this work. Mutabor invites to delve deeply into the essence of the human image, going beyond conventional definitions.

The face captured on the painting remains enigmatic, allowing each onlooker to craft their own interpretation of identity. The eyes, imbued with the same blue that graces the background, act as a mirror to reflect the world, reminding us that the beauty exists in the eyes of the beholder. An additional element of white lace, enveloping the face and forming the silhouette of wings, endows the figure with a certain lightness and grandeur. These details amplify the main theme of transformation, lending the painting an airiness and ethereality.
