About this artwork

«The Heartlessness» («Conversation» series) symbolizes the profound complexities and alienation characteristic of modern interpersonal relationships. 

The gaze of the woman depicted in the painting reflects a cold determination and impassiveness, while the camouflage pattern on her body emphasizes an emotional armor.

The fresh scar on her chest literally signifies her heartlessness. However, the presence of the colours of fire and air creates a sense of struggle between these two elements. The rigid boundary between the orange-red and blue is softened by the metaphorical penetration of air into the woman's body, symbolizing the possibility of reconciling opposing parts of our personality and underscoring that there are no unbreakable inner constructs exist.

This work calls for reflection on the fragile verge between inner vulnerability and outward insensitivity, and on the difficulties that people face in seeking genuine communication and understanding in a world where the personal ambitions often prevail.
