About this artwork
The painting "Isadora Duncan" from the series "The Death of Remarkable People" refers to the final moments of the legendary dancer's life. The two female figures represent Isadora with her famous flowing green scarf and a mysterious figure, which can be imagined as the embodiment of Death. The scarf, which became fatal for Isadora, emphasizes the connection between life and death.
The silhouette of the car in the corner reminds us of the circumstances of the tragedy, but it does not take center stage—the focus is shifted to the inner state of the characters. Isadora, standing in profile, gazes ahead with a hint of sadness, while the second figure, almost mirror-like, quietly accompanies her, symbolizing the inevitable presence of fate.
* Please note that the framed artwork is an example of the interior view and is based on imagination only.
All works are supplied unframed in tubes, accompanied by Certificate of origin.
